Hygiene Standards
At Fighters INK, we hold the health and safety of our clients as our top priority. Therefore, we have implemented a comprehensive set of hygiene practices and protocols that adhere to industry best practices and local health regulations.
Sterilization and Disinfection: All our equipment, including needles, grips, and tubes, are single-use and disposable. We use medical-grade sterilization techniques to ensure that all equipment is free from any potential contaminants. After each tattoo session, our artists thoroughly clean and disinfect their workstations, chairs, and any surfaces that may have come into contact with clients.
Hand Hygiene: Hand hygiene is rigorously enforced among our artists and staff. They are required to wash their hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before and after each client interaction. Hand sanitizers are also readily available throughout the shop.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Our artists are equipped with appropriate PPE, including disposable gloves and face masks. Gloves are changed between clients, and masks are worn consistently to prevent the spread of any potential airborne contaminants.
Staff Preparation: Before the tattooing process begins, staff are instructed to thoroughly clean the tattoo area with a recommended antiseptic solution. This step minimizes the risk of infection and ensures a clean canvas for the tattoo.
Disposable Coverings: We use disposable, single-use coverings on all surfaces that may come into contact with clients, such as beds, chairs, armrests, and tables. This prevents cross-contamination and allows us to maintain a clean environment for each client.
Ink Handling: Tattoo ink is dispensed into single-use, disposable containers for each client. This prevents any cross-contamination between clients and ensures that the ink used is sterile and safe.
Ventilation: Our tattoo shop is equipped with proper ventilation systems that ensure a constant flow of fresh air and help reduce the concentration of airborne particles, providing a safer environment for both clients and artists.
By adhering to these strict hygiene standards, we strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our clients to express themselves through art. Our commitment to maintaining these practices underscores our dedication to both the art of tattooing and the well-being of our valued clients.
Before your visit
Please inform us of any existing health conditions, allergies or medication you are taking.
Make sure you are sufficiently hydrated - dehydration can negatively effect the healing process.
Try to avoid caffeinated drinks upto 24 hours before your appointment as these can thin your blood and make you bleed more.
Try to avoid alcohol, our artist can refuse to tattoo anyone under the influences of drugs or alcohol.
Try and eat some food if your sitting is expected to be a long time. If you do need food during your visit please ask our staff to assist you.
Avoid getting any sunburn.
Wear appropriate clothing.
Arrive with a positive attitude and get ready to enjoy your experience.
After your visit
We provide all our customers with detailed aftercare instructions, you can also refer to this list.
An hour after your visit (or as instructed by your artist) remove the plastic bandage.
Do not rewrap your tattoo.
If you want to shower then try to avoid getting the tattoo area wet and do not use chemicals such as shower gel. When drying the tattoo area pat dry and do not rub.
Avoid swimming, bathing, saunas or anything that will soak the tattoo until the tattoo is fully healed (this couple take a couple of weeks).
Avoid the sun until the tattoo is fully healed. Once fully healed using suncream will reduce the fading of your tattoo.
After 3 days you can use tattoo balm to aid the healing process.
Once the tattoo has healed, come back to the shop if you need a touch up or any adjustments.

Make sure you're well-rested and hydrated. You can eat a light meal before your appointment, and wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the tattoo area. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications before your appointment.

Please bring a valid ID that confirms your age. If you have any reference images or design ideas, bring those as well. If you are already booked then consider bringing food if its a long session.

Tattoo prices vary based on size, complexity at Fighters Ink we charge by the piece not the hour. So you will know the cost once your design is finalised. If you do wish to be charged by the hour we can accommodate your request.
